Thursday Night Football

We take back all those nice things we said about Colin Kaepernick and the SanFrancisco 49ers. This is not the same team that on September 16th, 2012,game the Patriots all they wanted with Brady mounting a furious comeback to get to 31-31 with about five minutes remaining. It took Kaepernick 13 seconds (on the clock) to make it 38-31. That was 67 points scored in the pouring rain during a game that was phenomenal to watch.

Tonight's 20-3 win by the Seahawks was conversely very difficult to watch. The names were the same (Boone, Staley, Miller, Bowman and of course Kaepernick). There are not many plausible reasons for what we saw today. Based om Rumors heard about post game rituals where trainers pass around Oxycontin/Oxycodone it is entirely possible that San Frans's leaders are either drug addicts or alcoholics. It is also possible they suffer from mental illness or some serious undisclosed illness. And that is about it it aside from significant Brain Injuries given the ferocity of the hits players suffer.

BOTTOM LINE: Something is wrong with the 49ers. It is our guess (based on personal experience) that it is the Oxycontin/Oxycodone with Kaepernick. He has a great deal more talent and physical gifts than Russell Wilson and yet Colin looked like a high school QB forced into a college game against a star college QB. Whatever it is, he better deal with it now or he be a back-up QB on another team by this time next year. We never liked the guy but do have compassion for him and wish him nothing but the very best going forward. Good Luck Guys.
