The NFL in the Moment – Tuesday – 10.30am EDT – Week Six 2017

4/6 Minnesota Vikings (-3)   @   13/10 Chicago Bears (+3)

Well, the Vikings did start Bradford but pulled him near the end of Q2 when Keenum came in with the score 3-2. Keenum seemed to have command of the game the entire second half. The Bears managed to stay within one point after Keenum’s first Touchdown drive with a Touchdown of their own on a fake punt. After Keenum’s next drive, also a Touchdown, Trubisky threw a bad pass that Minnesota’s Sendejo should have intercepted. Instead of intercepting or knocking the pass down, Sendejo tipped the ball right to the intended receiver, Zach Miller and a nifty two-point play tied it up at 17.

A penalty killed Keenum’s third drive while a rare drop by Kyle Rudolph stalled the Vikings out at the Chicago 44 with 2:44 to go. Fortunately, for the Vikings, Harrison Smith did intercept Trubisky's next errant pass to Miller, and Keenum was able to drain the clock while driving for the game-winning Field Goal. Keenum ended up completing over 80% of his passes (17/21) and scored points on three of his five drives. Keenum did not turn the ball over for his fourth straight game.
